Relations between China and South America

En stage logistique à Shanghai, j'ai pour objectif de développer les échanges entre la Chine et l'Amérique du Sud, voici une petite étude sur les principaux partenaires Sud Américain de la Chine:

Argentina: the importations from China to Argentina between 2000 – 2009 have increased of 300%, China is the second partner of Argentina for the export and the import, all exchanges represented more than 25 billions of USD per year.

Brazil: it is the sixth worldwide economy, and the exchange with China increases every year. Furthermore, China is the first Brazilian partner, and both governments develop agreements to improve relations between Chinese and Brazilian companies.

Chile: it is less far than Argentina, with its average larger of 180 kilometres, a lot of companies prefer do a part of transport by sea, discharge the container in Santiago, Valparaiso, Iquique (famous Chilean ports) and finish the transport by road from Chile to Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. For some cities, it is less expensive than doing the transport by sea from China to Argentina directly. China is the first trading partner of Chile.

Mexico: its geographical position represents a very strategically solution, it is the perfect intermediary between Latin America and USA. China and Mexico exchange a lot of manufactured products (textiles, toys, cars).

Panama: the country represents a perfect place for the trade between China and South America, indeed, with the canal of Panama, a lot of containers are discharged in Panama to be transported by road or by sea in all others Latin American countries. The country will become an important container platform for the international trade with the free zone in Colon de Panama.

Venezuela: China is the second Venezuelan partner, particularly with the trade of petrol, but both countries exchange a lot of goods. This situation, could be explained by the debt of 30 billions USD of Venezuela towards China.
